Amazon Best Sellers Rank:

#68,532 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

I bought the 3rd book and I'll buy the 4th, only because there is a slither of an excellent sub plotThe declarations of love, I mostly skim throughThe sex scenes are ridiculousI'm sending the author a lap dance for her birthdayThe grammar and spell check need to be fixedEven though I consider myself a prisoner with serious Stockholm syndrome, I am still a paying customer... so fix the grammarAlexis has done nothing to prove herself better than a beat cop in her deductive powersAnd how did she get shot by some halfwit politicianMaddeningThe plot itself is a puzzle with missing pieces, and my guess is, that one of the authors many kittens has eaten the most important piecesConfusing, sappy, poorly writtenYet I am compelled by a very interesting and timely subplot to continuePlease enough with the sappy love talkIt's not the 1980s, we have moved beyond bar girls and Claire of the moonTrapped

I have read both of the books in this series and I must say I am still waiting on the main character (Alex) to live up to the hype. All both books talk about are how smart Alex is, how competent, ruthless, the best federal agent out there, etc, etc. However, she doesn't do ANYTHING to live up to this. I keep waiting for her to show us what a wonderful agent she is. She is never in any real dangerous scenes, except once, when she is shot by a guy who has never even held a gun before? The author doesn't have this character ding anything to show us why she is such a "super agent". I mean NOTHING. But, it is talked about on every page, by every other agent she has ever worked for.Maybe if the author stopped telling us, over and over, how good of an agent Alex is and just showed us what makes her so good, the book would be much better. Other than that, it was just an ok read because of that.

I rarely put a book down without having read at least the first third of it, but at page 93, I can't read any more of this book. I like the author and I've read most of the books in several of her series, although I got a little tired of the vast number of characters in all her books who don't seem to add anything to the story in those. The same is true for this book and the one before it, "Intersection".There is someone named Taylor and someone named Tate. Are these the same person? There is someone named John and someone named Jon (short for Jonathan, I think). I know these aren't the same person, but why, especially when there are too many characters already, would the author use such similar names?Convoluted and contrived. Two similar words with different meanings, but which both describe this book. There is SO much going on in this book that each plot line gets lost under the others. Who is a good guy/woman, and who isn't? Are they good sometimes and not good some other times? Is there an arms deal or something going on that involved the President and now either does or doesn't involve the next President? How are all these people involved, or are they involved at all?And what's with all the foreign languages that conveniently get translated in the next passage? I think that fully a fourth of the book could have been dispensed with if these were left out. I know other languages, too, but I have never spoken to my English-as-a-first-language partners in other languages. There is no point to it.Now, on to Alex. What's so great about Alex? She's supposed to be some super agent, but I haven't seen evidence of that. The President of the United State is beholden to her for SOMEthing, but I'm not sure what. She orders her work partner around like he's subservient, but there is never any reciprocity. She never does favors for him or anyone else, quite frankly. She's drawn as an almost-mythical character with no evidence of the myth.Alex and Cassidy fell into love and life in less than a week after laying eyes on each other, bought a house and became a family within two weeks, certain that it would last forever. No one does that. No one. At least no one who gives it 5 minutes' worth of thought. Especially with someone (Cassidy) who has never been with a woman before. This book is filled with faulty punctuation (something I have not seen before from this author), illogical plot lines and unbelievable dialog between Cassidy and Alex. My God, who talks like this all the time? "I will never let you go". "Never let me go". "I will love you always". "Please never leave me". For crying out loud! We know you love each other, but please get some confidence in each other!I kind of thought this second book would be closure for some of the plot lines in the first book, but this book is just making them less understandable. I don't know what's going to happen in books 3, 4, 5 or how ever many more will be written in this series, but my guess is they will keep the same confusing plot lines going. This is historic for this author. One star was for effort, because it's not easy to write and publish any book. The other star stands for a one-star rating.

I knew this one would add to characters but wow. Just when I thought someone was shady you would throw in a twist. I will be reading the 3rd one because it will be worth the read and can not wait to see what else you do to the characters.Pick up this book if you like mysteries and a great read. Enjoy!!

Nancy does it again. What a tangled web she has woven in Betrayal. If you haven't read Intersection you really need to do so before reading Betrayal. Everyone has to know where the story begins. What Nancy has given us in Betrayal is an amazing game of politics and deceit. The only thing you can trust in Betrayal is the love and family that Cassidy and Alex have created. I love the political game Nancy has created because we all know things like this could very likely be happening in our own government. I can't wait to see where Nancy takes us in the third installment. Commitment can not come out fast enough!

I feel like Alex and Cass are my personal friends. I admit I sometimes get lost in the political language and nuance, but the two books I have read are amazing.

Great book! The wedding brought me to tears! I can't wait for the birth of their second child! Oh yeah and Alex going under cover in her father's company will be exciting too! On to number 3!! I have number 4 in the series waiting patiently.

I just read back-to-back books #1, 2 and 3 of the “Alex and Cassidy” series and let me say, If you like Romance, Thriller, Government Conspiracy, Espionage and more all packed into one, you will not be disappointed.Alex & Cassidy are awesome!!! It’s a fast pass story line with so many twists and surprises it keeps you on your toes and I can’t wait for book #4 to see how this plays out.
